Who we are / Vision, Mission, Credo

A Non-Profit Company (NPC) that is non-political and non-denominational in nature - purely interested in leveraging available resources towards meaningful youth engagements.

Vision

A society that actively embraces and empowers it's less privileged members, enabling them to use their natural abilities and assets to do things for themselves. Every member of society uses their unique talents and capacity to engage positively in their own personal and communities' development.

Our Mission

Stimulate and empower youth and communities to transform their plight to productive members of society.

  • As an anchor we bring mutually lasting and meaningful development engagements between the social investments benefactors and the marginalised members of society as beneficiaries.
  • Less privileged members of society are enabled to contribute to the socio-economic developments that enhance their individual and communities' livelihoods.

  • Transparency and Accountability - All operations are open to scrutiny by our partners and stakeholders.
  • Respect and Dignity - All stakeholders respect each other in their engagements towards the fulfilment of mutual goals.
  • Active Participation & Innovation - Each member / role-player brings her/his own contribution based on the varied talents and resources they have. We leverage people's talents, assets and resources to bring about lasting transformation.
  • Credibility & Commitment - We stay firm on the commitments made. I-SIMA maintains professional standards of conduct in accordance with the NPC's guideline & Association's By-Laws.
  • Knowledge Sharing - The Organisation and its partners / stakeholders are able to trace and see the impact the engagements and investments are making in the beneficiaries' lives and are able to share the knowledge gained
  • Ubuntu - We subscribe to the principle of togetherness for the common good

Goals and Objectives

I-sima's main objective is to contribute towards the achievement of specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), targeting youth within communities.

This will be achieved through:

  1. facilitating self-esteem and resilience building initiatives for youth and/or young adults, through mentoring/coaching
    and promoting supportive networks or trust circles around them;

  2. delivering essential support to social business investors that leverage their investments into impactful social development interventions for youth;

  3. supporting government departments to ensure that youth (particularly those receiving grants and/or those in trouble with the law) are skilled and linked with industries to bring lasting and meaningful change in their lives;

  4. promoting a sense of "Ubuntu" (togetherness) through social collaborative interventions and programmes;

  5. provide innovative programmes geared to transform the lives of the juveniles / youth who have been in trouble with the law
