Our Approach

I-SIMA focuses on the marginalized youth, creating, promoting, and sustaining collaborations between government, civil society, business, and service providers to build a more self-confident and resilient youth community that can sustain itself and positively contribute to the growth of the economy.

 

Short
term

  • Better coordinated interventions for the youth;

  • Self-confident youth;
  • Youth better prepared for available jobs;

Medium
term

  • Clearer picture of the “value add” of the investments being made;

  • Growing numbers of youth taking the responsibility of doing things for themselves, directly / indirectly contributing to the economy;

Long
term

  • Reduced number of youth idling around, and/or dependent on the Social Grants Support system;

  • Sustainable support structures around the youth (support circles; families; community);
  • Society that is encouraged, and takes constructive initiatives to bring positive change
    for themselves
